1. When and Where

Lessons are held 6 days a week. We cover most instruments with different lessons on different days. All tuition is held on the premises at John Lane, in our Air Conditioned rooms. Our rooms are set up for our tutors with items such as cd players, amplifiers, wireless online access, two drum kits in our drum room, full up right pianos in our piano rooms. We try to make the lesson as comfortable as possible giving the student the best environment to learn in .

2. Advantages at the Music Cavern

Keeping music practise interesting is important so we encourage students to play what they like to hear whether it be classical through to rock music. Along with enjoying music we encourage exams that will enhance their future in the music industry. Exams are conducted through one of two outside examination bodies - The Australian and New Zealand Cultural Arts Limited (ANZCA) or Australia Music Education Board (AMEB) - This should be discussed with the tutor as soon as lessons commence. Closing dates to exams can be found at the Shop Counter or on the respective websites. As an added bonus at the Music Cavern we also encourage students to perform at our Cavern Concert which are held about 3 times a year. At these concerts we invite everyone to have a good time and enjoy music. Check out the Newsletter for more information on our next concert. Not only will you find dates of the Cavern Concerts page but you will also find other music events that students are encouraged to become part of. Another advantage is that our tutors are BLUE CARD approved – this is a Government initiative for child related employment. This gives you piece of mind for Adults working with children

3. How Much

Our lessons do continue during the holidays $25 per ½ hr Private Lesson ( that’s one teacher to one student)

· Save Money and time with these great deals –

o Lesson Deal 1 - will be $70 – that is 3 lessons at a discounted rate

o Lesson Deal 2 - will be $115 – that is 5 lessons at a discounted rate

o Lesson Deal 3 - will be $225 – that is 10 lessons for the price of 9

· YOU MUST PAY ONE LESSON IN ADVANCE AT ALL TIMES

( Music Cavern no longer reserves spots , or pencil students in )

Missed lessons are charged if the tutor is not given 24 hours notice for cancellation. If the tutor has prepared your ½ hr lesson it is only right they are paid for their time.
